Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year at Green Mountain School District. As I begin my fifth year as the Superintendent of this fantastic district, I am continually amazed at the outstanding students, phenomenal staff, and supportive parents that I have the privilege to lead and serve.
Unlike many districts across our state who are in tough financial shape, many even worrying about paying their bills each month, GMSD is in solid financial shape. This is due to our self-less School Board whose financially conservative approach to budgeting and thrifty spending allows us to create the best classroom environments for our students and staff while respecting the value of our constituents tax dollars. Additionally, our board takes pride in representing all the values of the constituents of our wonderful district.
At Green Mountain School, we are focused on the academic success of our students in reading, writing, math, science, history and physical education. We work hard to make sure our students master the basic academic fields that will best prepare them for their next opportunity in life, no matter what that might be. Over the last few years we have adopted new math, science and ELA (English language arts) instructional materials and our students’ success has been awesome!
As we celebrate the conclusion to all of the campus construction and upgrading of facilities that has been a bit of a distraction, we invite anyone who would like a campus tour to give me a call or stop by. One of those improvements completed last fall was the total remodel of our lunchroom and cafeteria. This has allowed us to freshly prepare lunch and breakfasts everyday, serving quality, great tasting breakfasts and lunches. I’d love to show you all of the improvements that we’ve made, including the total remodel of the middle school restrooms this last summer.
