Campus & Location

GMS Campus

Green Mountain School is nestled among the tall trees in North Clark County, Washington, about halfway between Woodland and Amboy. Our main building was built in 1932 and was a two-room schoolhouse. In 1993-1994, it was remodeled and now houses four classrooms.

A modular building was added in 1995 to accommodate our growing student body. Other buildings on our campus include the gymnasium/cafeteria, bus garage, and our special education building.

The main office, superintendent’s office and our media center are located in the administration building which initially served as middle school classrooms.

In 2005, we put “on-line” two more updated modular buildings that will greatly expand our educational abilities. Here, we added an art room and science/technology lab, and two more classrooms. In addition, we expanded our lunchroom and had a complete facility painting.

In 2010, our art room was moved to the stage area in the gymnasium.  The room will be able to not only host art classes, but also continue to serve as the stage for school and community programs – complete with curtains, lights, and sound system.

Spring of 2015 saw another expansion of the Green Mountain School campus. A modular was moved in on the lower end of the campus to house one more classroom and a science lab.

In the summer of 2017, the Green Mountain PTSO installed a playground structure replacing the much older existing equipment. All ages of students are enjoying the many different modules that tie together for this great addition to GMS!

In the summer of 2022, construction began on the new play shed which was completed in November of 2022.
