The first few weeks of school are all about developing relationships, a rhythm, and establishing expectations. As I’ve been in and out of classrooms the first few weeks, that’s what I’ve seen. It’s been fun to see so many new and familiar faces as I’ve been working to complete ELA and math assessments in the K-3 building. While assessments are an important part of the job, I look forward to completing them and using the data from those assessments to begin targeting students’ needs. I’m also really looking forward to diving into the new math curriculum. From what I’ve seen so far, it is going to serve us much better than what we had in the past.
